I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Macy's (Boston, MA) in Apr 2015
Interview
Got the invitation the next day, then I scheduled an interview asap. I went to the office, the manager ask me some simple question, something like your prefer time, what is your prior experience. The interview was short, only 15 mins. When she finished, she said they would contact me later. And I never get any future infomation. Disappointed with them. They need to let me know the result even thought they did not provide the offer!
I was able to interview immediately upon walk in, after completing a written application. There was a small group of friendly and competent human resources staff available at the time.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (La Jolla, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
I started with a "virtual", interview that included recorded video questions. I went through all of the many required tests and online video recordings and received a phone call from a woman to come in the very next day for an interview.
Note: When I filled out the online application I checked the box that indicated I could work evenings and weekends.
The woman who greeted me acted like she was surprised that I could only work part time hours.
I stayed calm and polite, I smiled I made eye contact which she rarely returned and unfortunately, her disgruntled mood never improved. The interview was actually a big waste of time for both of us. If she did not like my recorded video interview or the fact that I just wanted to work part time, then why did she contact me for an interview?

Interview
It was pretty easy, I think the one thing was that I was nervous so I felt like I will mess up, but they made me feel relaxed and confident with what I was saying.
