Semi long process. We had to fill out some forms via computer, sit through a group presentation, then have a one on one interview. The hiring manger was really nice.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's in Aug 2012
Interview
Applied online and received an email in less than 24 hours to setup an interview. It was straight forward for the most part, and I was offered a position as soon as the interview ended.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's
Interview
Applied online through macyjob.com, received an email the following day asking me to schedule an interview. It is a holiday position and temporary. I showed up 10 minutes early, was directed to the office. There were rather standard questions - "why Macy's". They tend to describe the position being applied to. "Tell me about a time you saw a coworker do something unethical and how did you handle it." They describe the position duties and ask how you would address things. That is rather smart, they are seeing if you are a match and are able to handle what their process is. It is one of the most upfront and honest interviews I've seen. It is rather easy to do and they're blunt with you. A pleasant experience and there is no haberdashery involved.
