I was able to interview immediately upon walk in, after completing a written application. There was a small group of friendly and competent human resources staff available at the time.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (Perry Hall, MD) in Aug 2013
Interview
I applied online and then a week later got an email saying they would like to set up an interview. The interview was set and I got an email confirmation of the interview time and location. After the interview with a manager, I got offered the position.

Question 1
How would you handle a customer who is deciding whether or not to buy an item in the store?
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (La Jolla, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
I started with a "virtual", interview that included recorded video questions. I went through all of the many required tests and online video recordings and received a phone call from a woman to come in the very next day for an interview.
Note: When I filled out the online application I checked the box that indicated I could work evenings and weekends.
The woman who greeted me acted like she was surprised that I could only work part time hours.
I stayed calm and polite, I smiled I made eye contact which she rarely returned and unfortunately, her disgruntled mood never improved. The interview was actually a big waste of time for both of us. If she did not like my recorded video interview or the fact that I just wanted to work part time, then why did she contact me for an interview?
