My interview experience at MSBC felt quite different from the usual process, in a good way.
It starts with a call from the TA team. If your profile matches what they’re looking for and gets shortlisted by the BA team, you’re given an FRD assignment (which you have to complete in 4 hours, but they are understanding and flexible with timelines based on your work schedule). After that, there are mainly two rounds, one with a Senior BA and another with the COO.
What I really liked was that it never felt like a typical interview. It was more of a conversation than a Q&A. They take time to explain the role, understand your experience, and somewhere in between, they figure out if you’re a good fit for the team.
One thing they clearly value in a BA is having a positive attitude and being empathetic towards clients, and honestly, you can feel that in the way they interact with you as well.
I didn’t have exposure to multiple industries, but they saw my willingness to learn and still gave me a chance, which meant a lot. They also walk you through how the company works, so you’re not left guessing.
Towards the end, there are HR and TA discussions around your expectations, reasons for change, and alignment with policies. In my case, it happened over two calls, probably due to scheduling, but it was smooth overall.
Overall, it felt less like an interview and more like getting to know a team you might soon be a part of.
