The Director of Talent Acquisition reached out to me regarding a role. He asked me to provide him my résumé and availability to interview. I replied back to him with both within a couple hours. After that, I was ghosted. I’m not sure if it was something on my résumé he didn’t like or what. He never replied back to my email or LinkedIn message. I followed up with him via both and nothing. It’s not cool to ghost candidates in 2023. Especially in this economy, you get peoples hopes up. The frustrating thing is, he reached out to me. I would have never known about the opportunity without his LinkedIn message. We in the talent acquisition community have to do better in terms of candidate experience.
