I was invited for a first interview. I was surprised that it was face-to-face. Normally it is remote. Additionally, the company is far from the city center and my residence. After attending, I received the following feedback: “Reviewing the information from the interview, which was very good and satisfactory, however, given the position we are requiring, we consider that you are overqualified for the position we currently have, which is for a junior analyst position. Therefore, we are unable to move forward with your application at this time.”
However, they knew of my qualifications and seniority. Also, they do not specify whether the role is for Junior or Senior. When I made the complaint they replied contradictorily, “Thank you for the observation of the position, certainly, we do not indicate that part, because we do not want to limit ourselves to the candidates and we are open to any changes in the structuring of this and know of the different experiences of the candidates.”
It's quite a waste of time bordering on disrespect.
