First interview with an internal recruiter, basic questions such as knowledge on the company, open access, profile, publication record.
Second round with two managers in China, questions seemed to come out of a basic interview questions booklet: biggest failure, etc...
Third interview onsite with a local senior editor and and HR person: questions (or attack) on the personality based only on the negative: criticism, flaws, etc... Information on the salary and other basic HR points are not addressed and they refuse to disclose anything. Salary and advantages negotiation is normally expected and should be part of any interview process. The whole process was long (1 month) and I had to ask every time for feedback, they really lack professionalism, refuse to answer questions on the company atmosphere. Moreover, candidates are forced to compete against each other.
