I submitted my application online, and subsequently had an initial call with the Talent Acquisition Manager, which lasted approximately 30 minutes. During the call, we discussed the company and my relevant experience. Following that, I was given an assignment that involved utilizing an API to display a list of items, implementing filtering and search functionality, and creating detailed pages for each item. Additionally, there was an optional task to incorporate theming, which I completed as well. However, a few days later, I received a rejection email. While the email contained the typical phrases associated with rejection, there was a mention of my passion for backend engineering, despite the fact that I did not mention anything about that during the process. It appears that they may have confused frontend and backend, assuming they are the same. Furthermore, the feedback I received on the assignment was perplexing. The email stated that the task was incomplete, although I am confident that I had fulfilled all the requirements. It also mentioned numerous type warnings, even though there were none. It is possible that they may have mistakenly attributed someone else's assignment feedback to mine.
