The first step was an HR interview where they asked the usual HR questions—what are your three weaknesses and strengths, have you researched the company, etc. After that, they sent me a case study, and once I completed it, I moved on to the technical interview stage. Everything was normal up until this point. The technical interview was supposed to last 1 hour, but we stayed for 1.5 hours, and there were product team lead and two HR members—why would there be two HR people in a technical interview? They asked me questions about the case study, and I answered them. A week later, I got a rejection mail. When I asked for feedback, they told me they decided to move forward with a more experienced candidate. First of all, that’s not feedback. I wanted to know if there were parts of my case study that could be improved. Also, you could have found a more experienced candidate in the first interview, why did you come to this decision only after the third interview? Wasn’t that a bit late? In conclusion, it was a bad experience and a waste of time. Also, the questions were really irrelevant with the job description. Like, why am I supposed to deal with developer’s complaints and rejections of the tasks they are responsible for? If I have to, then what is the PM’s role here?
