First step was a screening call with HR and basic questions. After a week I did a video call with one of the sr.engineers; mechanical engineering question about stress-strain curve, bending etc it was fairly easy. Third step was a panel interview with total of 6 managers and sr.engineers and the director of engineering: it lasted about 3-4 hours. There were 3 sections with 2 people each lasting around a hour and at the end the director interviewed me. One of the managers was extremely rude; he came late interrupted the other guy interviewing me then asked me several questions about the dates on my resume and said he does not see a relation with my background and the role so he won't be interviewing me any further. I guess he did not go over my resume before my interview but overall it was a odd thing to say he could just let the other guy interviewing me. Even though the role description did not require any experience I was asked several questions about chassis and structure design which were very specific and detailed. I mentioned that I don't have professional chassis/structure design experience but they kept asking the same questions. For one of the basic engineering questions, a sr.engineer said my answer was wrong but a manager said that my answer was correct so it was an awkward moment. Overall, it was a long process and I felt like interviewers were not prepared and were rushing. It felt like they were trying to find a seasoned engineer even though the role description was not asking for any experience.
