I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Lakehurst, NJ) in May 2011
Interview
Pretty straightforward. It took a few weeks to hear back from anyone though, as I had to often call and ask if I was moving forward or rejected. Finally met with HR, then Manager. Standard behavioral questions, how did my last job(s) give me skills that can be used here.

Question 1
Why do you think you'd make a good Customer Service Associate?
I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Zephyrhills, FL)
Interview
Rather easy interview process. There were only a handful of questions that were pretty standard for a retail position. When the interview was scheduled, I was told it was one person, but ended up being another person conducting the interview, which wasn't a big deal, but when you go in to the place it's nice to ask for the correct person.

When was a time that you've gone above and beyond for a customer?
It was Easy and I was able to get the job done. It was a good experience and I had a great time. Questions asked were about my experience with home improvement.
Pretty easy interview. Basic questions about work history. What experience you have pertaining to the role. A few scenario questions about customer interaction and teamwork. Pretty much show confidence you can handle the job.
