I was contacted by their recruitment team via LinkedIn to the vacancy as I hadn’t seen it - the role looked intriguing and very broad - I applied and was invited to first interview which lasted an hour, it was professional and I felt It had generally gone well with both interviewees - I was invited to 2nd which involved a 10 minute presentation- on how I would approach the L&D strategy and how I would evaluate particularly an early career programme, mid career and leadership development. This was another hour long interview. I was told next steps would be a decision in a few days. I received a stock standard email saying they were not taking my application any further and because of the number of applicants that no feedback would be provided which was a bit of a surprise at this stage in the process as I have always been given some form of feedback - yes I was a bit miffed and disappointed if I’m honest, however in the spirit of the process I sent an email back wishing the successful applicant and the team the best - only to see the job reposted within the hour!! LCCC claim ‘Integrity’ as a core value- sadly they didn’t live up to this during the recruitment process - I probably missed a bullet!!
