The interview process spanned over six weeks and included multiple rounds, such as conversations with team members and a two-part project-based case study. After completing all stages, I was informed that the company had decided not to move forward with the role due to a reevaluation of its "scope." This decision came after significant time and effort had already been invested by candidates. Instead of the job, they offered the possibility of project-based contract work. At best, this reflects an inability to properly forecast hiring needs. At worst, it raises concerns that the company may be leveraging candidate work for free strategic input. I would not recommend engaging in a project-based interview for this company.
