Contacted by CEO regarding my submitted application for a Director position. They left a voicemail message and then sent me a text saying they are trying to contact me. I called and responded by text shortly after on the same day when I became available to speak. No response to either. I retried again and they continued to ghost me. Why be so persistent where leaving a voicemail was followed by a text within a hour and then ghost the candidate when they respond? Regardless of any possible circumstances, respect is respect. Seeing the reviews from employees, it reveals a culture that I would not be interested in anyway. If they treat you poorly as a candidate, I can only imagine the disrespect that they serve their actual employees.
