It started with a presentation (which they asked to have a copy of; I didn't give them one). It followed by meetings with several team members who described the work they did and mostly asked a number of questions. Many of the questions were unrelated to the work they did or that I had done. It seemed like they regarded working there as a great privilege and were also using the opportunity to prove that they were smarter than me. One employee explicitly told me that the culture did not foster a good work-life balance. Generally they were very pushy and almost bullying throughout the process. After I got the offer, HR told me that they had "pulled some strings" to get me the salary I had asked for, even though I had other matching offers. It made it sound like I was being extravagant even though I had learned through subsequent interviews/offers that my asking salary was very reasonable. They told me this over the phone on a Saturday; when I said I would let them know in a week after discussing with my family, I was told they needed to know there and then or at latest by Monday. Perhaps needless to say, I turned down the offer. After turning down the offer, they informed me that I could have more time to think about it and almost didn't accept me turning it down. It took me not picking up phone calls from them to get the point across.
Overall...very very pushy and it seemed like a company with terrible work-life balance.
