Applied directly with the company through a job board, no staffing agency or recruiter involved. Received email from "internal recruiter" scheduling me for an in person interview, and gave me the name of the CFO.
Researched the company's officers- the Chief Financial Officer doesn't even have his CPA! Red flag.
During the interview, the CFO was rude and insulting, implying that working on my master's degree and pursuing my CPA was worthless "unless you want to do taxes" and said I had no ambition because I indicated my future career aspirations did not include running my own company.
CFO stated the employee would need to have a thick skin especially if they made any mistakes, and that the employee would be babysitting the data entry team, whom he evidently feels are incompetent, and the employee should expect 50+ hour workweeks regularly.
Not at all a professional environment - CFO is more suited to being a salesman.
The content of the interview was easy- no difficult questions, no fancy accounting tests. The hardest part was resisting the urge to walk out.
