Light interview questions

Withdrew at tech task stage as I got a separate offer. Stages: 1st chat with recruiter, 2nd chat with engineering manager, 3rd tech stage. The recruiter and engineering manager were lovely, but I felt there were some big red flags after my talk with the latter, the biggest of which being that he seemed very happy with people working on the weekends and heavily implying that that's expected. I'd avoid if you care about a work-life balance.

HR round then a round with Hiring manager. Then tech task. Completed and submitted tech task and heard nothing back after wasting my time on this task. What is wrong with companies thinking that this is acceptable. Disgusting.
