I was instructed to call the interviewer at a specific time, with the understanding that if she wasn’t available, I should leave a voicemail and she would call me back. I followed those instructions and left a message when she didn’t answer. I received a call back roughly 40 minutes after the scheduled time.
The interview itself lasted only about four minutes. I was asked a few rapid-fire questions—broad ones like what kinds of teams I thrive in, a general “tell me about yourself,” and what I’m really good at. The interviewer then outlined the next steps in their hiring process.
I did receive a follow-up on the date she said I would, which I appreciated. However, I wasn’t given an opportunity to ask any questions, and there was no acknowledgment or apology for the delay. The experience felt rushed and impersonal.
