I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance (Salem, NH) in Aug 2015
Interview
1) I received a phone call with generic questions. 2) I received a second in depth call from another staff member 3) I took various tests: personality, math, customer problem solving 4) I was asked (and did) write out a business plan with a multitude of criteria 5) I interviewed with a manager at the office and another via some type of Webex.

Question 1
The interview questions were unsophisticated. One woman asked me what I failed the most at in my career. Was that supposed to be a behavioral question?? I hadn't failed terribly at anything in my professional life so What ever happened to tell me a scenario type question...
The first interviewer looked young enough to be my son and even though the HR Recruiter and those I interviewed with over the phone informed me that my interview and business plan was the most thorough she had ever seen, the young man I interviewed with in person took one look at me then said they didn't hire people without insurance experience. What!? I had just spent countless hours doing all the previously mentioned steps to get there and they dont hire people without insurance experience? Then why did I bother in the first place?
