I was contacted by the internal recruiter for an initial phone screening. I accepted the first slot available. When it came time for the call, it was not at all what I expect for any interview. The call was 1 hour long and the recruiter talked, literally, a solid 50-55 minutes of that hour. I had a hard time even getting a word in to try and talk.
She was very nice but it wasn’t like there were awkward pauses that she was trying to fill. She just. Kept. Talking. It is impossible to sell your merits for a position when you don’t get a chance to even talk. She asked exactly one question, which I answered well, but it did nothing to really explain my applicable experience and abilities.
She was very nice and knowledgeable about Liberty Mutual but I never had a chance.
