Lessen Senior Manager Performance Management interview questions

Applied for this job around 11am. A recruiter then decided it was appropriate to email me at 9pm the same day telling me "thanks for interviewing with us, unfortunately we've decided to pursue other candidates". I never interviewed with them. I have no idea how any company thinks it is appropriate to be sending these types of emails late at night, but also not even being able to send an appropriate template? I dodged a bullet with this place - completely incompetent staff and horrid reviews from what I see. Unprofessional.
