The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Leon Cycle (London, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
I applied online and was contacted about a week later by the CEO, who personally conducts the interviews. The conversation was informal and more of a discussion than a traditional interview. He shared his background, the company’s product lines, and its market strategy.
The CEO emphasized the importance of Mandarin-speaking candidates to better align with the factory operations in Suzhou, China, and internal communication needs.
Based on the discussion, it appears the company is currently undergoing some restructuring and facing operational challenges, particularly on the European side. This may have contributed to staff turnover and resource constraints in the past.

Interview
The interviewer was a no show.
I waited patiently. Maybe they were held up in a meeting? I’ve had similar situations myself although, as the interviewer, I would drop the candidate a message to let them know. Never mind- benefit of the doubt and all that.
Then I get a LinkedIn message asking if I’m joining. Yes, I am. I’m waiting to be admitted to the meeting. The panic- is it me? No, I’m definitely in the right meeting. I let them know that I’ll leave and try joining again. I do. No response. I let them know that I’ll try a different device. I do. I message them saying I’m waiting again… silence.
After 20 minutes I received an automated ‘meeting cancelled’ email from Teams. I emailed, I messaged on LinkedIn again… ghosted.
Disgusting way to treat people and frankly reading other reviews on here and Trustpilot
I suspect I had a lucky escape. Save yourselves, don’t bother.
