The initial interview with HR was very brief, and the second interview with the hiring manager lasted only about 30 minutes. Most of the questions focused on my resume and some aspects of the role itself. However, I was taken aback by the comment that Lenovo is a global organization that requires early morning or late evening calls with overseas teams, particularly after I mentioned that I had taken a career break to focus on raising my children. I did not expect the conversation to imply that having young children might affect my ability to meet the company’s scheduling requirements, especially from a global organization.
