Interviewed 8 different times for AP. Made it each time to second round and people acted like they liked both me and qualifications. People even said in private they liked me. The last interview I was in a very old black lady - I am mentioning color because the whole office is at least 97% hispanic, 3% black, no white non hispanic people, no asian in accounting. I also was asked directly about my age if I would mind working with a younger supervisor. I blushed because the black lady looked older than me. I simply smiled and said most people in an office are younger than me. A gasp with her coworkers and giggles, no job. That was interview 8 over the years so they like my qualifications. All I could think is the office seemed friendly but it was something about admins keeping it strictly hispanic. So many were nice but no "white people" present. The job was more than doable!
