Communication about process overall was poor, and interviews seemed not thought out. Multi week delays came and went without so much as a word, promises were made like “you’ll hear back on x day” or “we’ll get this information to you ASAP” before radio silence. I get that hiring takes a while, but being honest and upfront about how long things will take is important.
The way they do their technical exams is also very odd, the interviewer will share their screen and you’ll be dropped into their IDE for some bug hunting on an example codebase. The issue is since it’s a screen share, you cannot scroll through the code, and you cannot type out the answers; all of that needs to be communicated verbally to the interviewer, who will then interpret what you said and try to write it. Made the whole process feel bloated and overcomplicated. I also needed to wait for the interviewer to turn off copilot, which further cut into my time.
The whole process gave the impression that they don’t want to invest the time into making a good interview process, even though they claim they want to hire a lot of folks right now.
