The interview process consisted of three stages. After completing a test assignment (reconciliation task), I was invited to the final round with three interviewers — the format felt more like an interrogation than a conversation. The expectations for candidates seemed quite high given the relatively low salary offered.
The hiring manager was pleasant and professional, however, my interactions with other team members were less positive. By the third stage, my motivation had noticeably decreased.
I also got the impression that many processes are handled manually, with limited automation in place.
Overall, the vibe didn’t feel like the right fit for me. Additionally, the role required a fully office based setup, which doesn’t align with my preference for a hybrid work model.
I applied online. I interviewed at LemFi in Mar 2026
Interview
Initial HR screening interview lasting around 25 minutes. The interviewer asked about my experience with compliance testing, examples of audit-ready reporting, and how I would approach testing compliance controls. There were also questions about working with different regulatory jurisdictions and how I use Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis. However, several questions were repeated multiple times without further clarification, which made it difficult to understand what specific detail the interviewer was looking for. Connection and audio issues during the call also made communication challenging at times.

Question 1
What does an audit-ready compliance report look like?
The process included a first-round conversation with HR, a second-round discussion with the hiring manager focused on experience, and a third round dedicated to reviewing and discussing the homework assignment I had completed.
