This HR/contractor person (who were not the original name of the invite) tried to do the STAR-method of interviewing but failed massively as you could tell having no real sense of how to understand sales profiles. Also felt wierd as they focus so much on passion to have someone who just work there on contract to do an initial check of culture.
No salary ranges were asked or anything about things that are 101 in these situations. The person did not seem to enjoy their role and their take on the company was that is was fairly chaotic.
Granted that these companies are growing fast but this had all the red flags of an immature startup with too much funding and to junior staff handling recruitment.
