Had a phone interview with a recruiter. She seemed friendly but then picked apart my resume and job timelines and then proceeded to give me unsolicited resume advice. She put me on the spot asking what month I started a job I had years ago. It really made me wonder why I was even doing the interview. She would also put her phone on mute while I was talking, which was extremely awkward. She also asked strategy questions better suited for a second or third interview. As she's a recruiter, I'm not aware of her personal knowledge on the subject matter, and as it lacked any context whatsoever, it seemed way too broad a question. I received an automated, not personal, email afterwards. I did most of the talking and I did not learn that much about role or the company itself. It was a negative experience.
