I had an interview with HR over the phone. It wasn't the typical tell me yourself, explain your background type of interview. HR would ask you technical questions over the phone, and you would answer. It looked like the person had a set of keywords they were looking for, and if you didn't say the keywords, you didn't answer questions how they liked. It was very odd to explain technical concepts to a HR person who had no underlying background in them because the person didn't understand some of the terminologies that were commonly used in computing science.

The overall interview goes through phases. The company lists the job openings on their canadian career page and Lawdepot. - Resume Screening after Application - HR Screening through Email/Phone - Final Interview(s) with team leads - Offer Letter from the company
