The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Laserfiche (Long Beach, CA) in Apr 2009
Interview
Interviewer was polite. First round I was asked some basic computer science concepts. It was followed up with programming questions which I completed in 3 days. After a few days they arranged to fly me out. Laserfiche arranged for a shuttle to a nice hotel. Interview was 5 hours including lunch. 3 rounds of people.
I was given an overview of the company and summary of benefits. The benefits were pretty comprehensive. I interviews with software engineers and test engineers from several product groups.
I ate lunch with some alumni from my school. Lunch was informal but it was hard to eat chicken with your fingers and interview at the same time. It was awkward. Some people played pool, ping pong during lunch.
After lunch I had a tour of the office. The Engineering group didn't work in offices but I saw plenty of desks next to windows. Each desk had 2 monitors. Some people had multiple computers. I saw a frig with drinks. People dressed casually. I felt overdressed.
More programming questions followed. It was an exhausting day. And I was back to the hotel.

Interview
Toxic. HR was like an interrogator, trying to find out all my personal background including parts that are irrelevant to the job. Including my birthplace, age. Manager was denying almost every question you asks him by saying things like “your question is meaningless”, “why asking such a question?”, “that doesn’t matter”. He also said “based on your profile, I assume you’re around …, it is a disadvantage for you in the job market”
