      Customer Service Representative Interview

      5 Aug 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at Lands' End in Aug 2022

      Interview

The initial interview virtual. I was excited and a bit nervous like a normal human at the very start, but it was a waste of time. It was phone call with an automated voice recording but I am 100% sure someone else is listening to your responses. They don't let you know that though. They make it seem like you can listen back to your responses and rerecord if you need to but that's only if you're respond sounds like a robot. I got hung up on about three times and each time it was when I stumbled across a word or paused for a second, like could they make it any more obvious. I read a lot of pretty bad reviews prior to the interview, which I was why I was skeptical anyways, but I should have believed it. Save your time and believe me. I also emailed about the issue and tried to call back, but never got a response. The problem is not that they obviously did not want to hire me it is the way they went about it. That lets you know everything about a company. They didn't have the decency to just let me know what went wrong or even reject me with respect. The company is fishy, weird, and they don't respect people and their time. I'm pretty sure if you work there, they'll fire you the moment you stop acting like a robot and prove you are human. Don't work for company that treat workers like they are disposable and don't deserve an explanation.

Describe in detail your definition of outstanding customer service. Describe a time where you went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of a customer. Please respond to what you hear on the audio as if you were on a live call. What about your character makes you a good candidate for this job? Give me an example of a time that you experienced unexpected change at work. What was the change and how did you respond? Share an example of one of the most complex new processes or systems you’ve learned in your job. Using the example you shared in the prior question, describe the training provided to learn this new process or system.
