HR screening call followed by call with the team and then Management. In 30 years of work, I've probably seen this level of both personable and professional excellence twice before.
The interviews were interactive, personal, and still technical and probing. All the teams transitioned from who I was as a person to technical and leadership questions. It was a conversation as much as anything. Every level of interview, the interviewers KNEW what they were doing . . . very impressive.
The final interview with upper level Management (LEADERSHIP!) was nothing short of enjoyable, even with some really thought provoking questions. I was actually disappointed when it ended.
At the end of the day, the job wasn't a great fit for me (mutual decision), but I would MOST DEFINITELY be interested in something they would have open in the future if I were looking.
If you're a hiring manager or HR leader, and you want to learn how to entice people to consider your company for employment, figure out a way to get interviewed by this team. They're a bunch of really great people who know how to handle candidates.
And it doesn't hurt to have a company with their reputation, either. I would have killed to have this opportunity earlier in my career.
Disclaimer! I'm going to put "Easy" in the interview difficulty ONLY BECAUSE they made it easy. They made me think and really dig into my past, motivations, and technical detail, but they made it feel easy. The same questions from some of the other companies I interviewed with would change the rating to "Very Difficult".
