Thirteen Weeks. 2 Initial phone interviews. Hour meeting w/ Sales Manager. Suddenly he wanted to call 3 of my current clients and I complied. Hour meeting with Owner, where I was told the Sales Manager just left the company and the owner was not prepared to conduct the interview. Back for another hour interview with the owner where compensation was discussed and agreed. Back for another hour interview with the Owners sister/Comptroller. Then had to go to a industry organization meeting 40 miles away from home. Never was given a tour of their facility. The compensation originally in their ad stated: Benefits include, 401K, excellent health insurance, vacation/sick time (implies a base originally discussed at or near $50k) , laptop, cell phone, auto allowance, expense account, and a dedicated customer service representative. By the end, they wanted for me to work straight commission for several months before a decision would be made, and no expenses. Promised leads from their "drip" system were explicitly excluded in the 1099 agreement. When I asked to negotiate for at least expenses, I was notified via email that the 1099 I signed the day before was cancelled and "good luck".
