First a linkedin message, I spoke to an in-house recruiter and arranged a 45 minute interview the following day with 2 tech guys.
This didn't go so well, I was on my mobile they were on a crappy conference phone, with all the disadvantages, clipped words, stilted pauses & "echo-y" sounds.
They asked me a simple question which I answered, but I could tell it was going to be one of those "alpha-geek" minutiae detail question interviews and I couldn't face spending the next 45 minutes + their reputation of being "we're so good" interview "hard-arses", so I thought, "you know what, I can't be bothered with this" and broke it off.
I've worked with one or two 49'ers in the past and found them to be knowledgeable.
