Overall, the interviews were pleasant. The company made a good first impression on me, mostly because the HR person was very nice and helped me envision myself as part of the team.
They could not provide a salary range for the advertised position. As far as the HR lady told me, they wanted to gather the candidates' proposals and make a decision accordingly. Considering it's an Italian company, I wouldn't be surprised if their strategy was to pick the lowest bidder.
What bothered me the most was that despite a good start, they completely ghosted me and did not respond to my follow-up email. A short message informing the candidates of their decision is not a big ask, and can greatly improve the candidate experience.
