They were 10 minutes late to collect me, and no one apologized.
I met with HR and the Executive Director, both read questions off of a sheet.
When it was time for me to ask questions, I asked "what do you like about working here?" and neither were very convincing.
When I left and went to shake their hands, neither could look me in the eye.
I was relieved that they didn't want to move forward. What an offputting experience.
I applied online. I interviewed at LA Conservation Corps
Interview
The interview process was clunky and clearly overly administrative. I had a 15 minute screener call out of the blue, with very little email communication from HR or the supervisor (which is an industry standard). The call consisted of 5 members of the hiring committee and me, and I was told by the Deputy Director that there were 15 questions but only 40 minutes for the interview. Multiple questions had 2 to 3 parts to them. I was cut off several different times in my response.
