I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Koko FitClub (Houston, TX) in May 2019
Interview
First I applied online. Then I received a phone call to talk over basic stuff. Then an in person interview was set. I also got a application through email to fill out and bring to the interview. Had my in person interview and they reached out shortly afterwards.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Koko FitClub (San Antonio, TX) in Feb 2017
Interview
It was an after hours interview with one of the senior staff members. I had a chance to introduce myself to the owner. I was able to describe myself as customary in most interviews. But it was concerning that they asked nothing about the personal training certifications, which was a requirement for the position. CPR/AED was also required but they did not ask for my Heart Savers card to verify. They made it seem like my academic 4 year degree was negatively competitive to the owner's Ph.D. instead of being of value.
Majority of the interview was him, the staff member, describing the details of how the training system work at Koko Fitclub.
The interview also helped me clarify what they were after. It was a Front-desk attendant and custodian they needed; not a fitness coach/trainer.
The literal high-brow noses-up body language in the conversation indicated they had already made a decision on the position; prior to me even walking in.
