I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kohl's (Dothan, AL) in Mar 2013
Interview
I applyed online, and they called me exactly 2 weeks later to schedule an interview. It was a group interview with 2 others and the manager. The interview started out with us filling out a sheet of paper with the hours we were available to work the first week if we were hired. After that she told us what positions were available and asked us which one we preferred, told us a some information about working there, and then told us to introduce ourselves and why we want to work at Kohl's. The interview questions she asked next were the following: When was time you went above and beyond to do something nice for someone? What would you do if a customer asked you a question about a department you didn't work in? What did you do when you were late for an appointment? How would you handle a customer that was yelling frantically at you? She then asked if we had any questions, and then called us out one by one outside of the room and asked if we had any questions that we didn't want to ask in front of the other applicants, and then told me I would be getting a call shortly from her. The interview was easier and less nervewrecking than I thought it would be, went really well, and I think I got the job!

Question 1
When was time you went above and beyond to do something nice for someone?
The interview process was pretty straightforward, virtual interview a week after applying. Didn't have many issues or anything confusing. I did ended up working there. Managers were ok but pay was pretty low.
Phone screening interview to go over resume and job requirements, mainly confirming what my availability would look like, what it entailed, and if I'd be comfortable with the sales part of the job/promoting the store rewards and credit card. Very friendly and low-pressure conversation over the phone.
The process was pretty average, it was just a little awkward trying to find someone to ask to know where I needed to go. Once I got in the back room i was asked pretty normal questions and nothing that was too hard to answer or too perosnal
