I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at King Kong (Melbourne) in Apr 2026
Interview
Went through 3 interview stages, first a video interview submission, then a live online interview that went for about 1 hour 15 minutes. It honestly felt a bit like an interrogation 😅 lots of scenario based questions testing critical thinking and quick responses, with no real time to research or fully process the scenario.
The 3rd stage was a comprehensive ad drafting assignment, where they provided creatives and ad copy, and we had to build out the funnels, strategy, and structure, record & submit a Loom video.
The final stage would have been a 1:1 with the CEO, but I didn’t make it to that point.
The process was well organised overall, however the rejection came with no specific feedback on the work submitted, which felt like a missed opportunity given the level of effort required. Rejection note was a generic "We got many applications for this role...." I would have appreciated more transparency at the final stage to understand what I can improve on, specially given the amount of time i invested in this interview process.
Video application
Followed by interview and skills test. Was a decent process. Having to make a video before an interview was a bit of a pain. They got back to me quickly.
HR led initial discovery call - then an interview with owner as a final step. completely digital process from start to finish - no in-person interview was offered to me
