      Entry Level Sales Representative Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Keyence (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2019

      Interview

Overall the process isn't very difficult, but it's very long. From online application to in-person was roughly 6-weeks. Stage 1: The BMCT-II Test. It's an aptitude test. I'm not a great test-taker so it was helpful to research free online sources for it. Your local library might have practice tests as well- those were super helpful. Stage 2: HireVue interview. This isn't as bad as I read about. It's a little awkward because there's no feedback. It's not a dialogue but a response to a pre-recorded message. I would practice going over generic interview questions. When you sign up on HireVue, there's a practice portion. Take that. I cannot recommend that enough. It's extremely helpful and reduces any awkwardness Stage 3/4: Personality test & In-person interview. This is the final stage and they fly you into Chicago. The personality test is long and needs to be filled out before you leave for Chicago. The actual interview is a half-day long with 20+ other applicants. It has several parts and is overall pretty good. Part of it is a product demo. I would know the product they give you really well and research the competitor's product too. Keyence is all about added value- so be ready to say why your product is better than the cheaper competitor.
