      Customer Service Representative Interview

      19 Apr 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New Brunswick, NJ
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Keyence (New Brunswick, NJ) in Mar 2018

      Interview

At first I was pretty confident, but during the process I was over it. I got contacted by a recruiter and told me about the position and did a phone interview with me for about 35 minutes. I did the interview while at my current job on my break. She thought that I would be great for the position so she told me to wait around for the personality test/assessment. a few days later I received the assessment invite but before I complete it I would have to contact her so we can go over it. (unnecessary) but ok I said. we had another meeting on the phone prepping for the assessment. we were on the phone for about 45 minutes. It was extremely unnecessary, but I did it anyway. Then I did the assessment a day later, and it was over an hour long, very draining.. it was a personality test/assessment. super long. Then I told the recruiter and she said ok, if they accept me they will have me move on to the video interview . but once again I had to speak to her to prep. we were on the phone for 35/40 minutes.. once again wasting my time, because I am usually extremely busy with work and other things. anyway, I did the video interview which was very odd and weird, but I made the best of it, showed my personality, and I had to wear a blazer/suit for the video interview. that took about 35/40 minutes.. then the recruiter told me they will get back to me.. That was a month ago. A TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME. Why have us do all of this and not even get an email saying they are not interested? Its just basic respect to the amount of trouble you go to just to maybe get a job.. I would never do something so time consuming again.. This is customer service, not a engineer position. very unnecessary ... hated the experience.
