First, the application required me to complete a personality assessment that took over half an hour. I received a call from the manager, who interviewed me over the phone, but was driving in her car the whole time and sounded completely frazzled for the hour-long conversation. They repeated questions, forgot my answers, and only half paid attention to the conversation. They scheduled an in-person interview to follow up, where they repeated all the questions they had already asked. In all email communication with the manager, there were typos or errors in their message including the wrong date/time for the interview. Next was an hour-long tour of the office, which was extended in an attempt to stall for the other individual conducting the interview to show-up. By the time they finally showed up, the manager had clearly run out of questions. They also confessed the job was a consolidation of 4 other positions, but they were offering a salary just above minimum wage. I got the impression that they wanted to hire someone who would accept the lowest offer they could prepare. The final section of the interview they just kept asking what they could offer that would make me accept this job, to which I repeatedly responded financial stability and remote or hybrid work, but they refused to accept that as an answer, and refused to offer any other incentives. The interview lasted over 3 hours, and I had to end it because I had other plans and a ride waiting for me. They were incredibly rude and inconsiderate and made no consideration towards the time they wasted. I feel I dodged a bullet.
