KPW Structural Engineers interview questions

I met with two of the founding principals during the interview. The interview process was professional. I came in with 2-years of experience. So, they did not ask me many technical questions. We focused more on my past experiences and area of expertise. They also made sure to emphasis that at KPW employees are expected to broaden the range of skill set and be willing to work on different project types and materials, which was something I sought after as a young engineer in the field. The interview lasted for about 1 hour, followed by a tour around the office.

The three owners interviewed me as a panel. They asked questions regarding my experience, and they were kind and very professional. It was interesting learn about the company history and learn about the AEC industry. I felt a real bond between the staff and the owners. It was reassuring to learn how hands-on the owners are with projects and teams, because I feel a disconnect when companies don't have their owners work with the staff.
