I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at KLDiscovery (Minneapolis, MN) in Apr 2021
Interview
I went through an agency for this interview. It consisted of just two rounds, a coding assignment and a 1.5 hour call that was both a team fit and a technical interview. I got an offer really quickly and they've been really proactive in just keeping in touch to convince them to be with the company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic questions about the techstack you work with (what is a constructor, what is a promise, what is an outer join) and behavioral questions (how do you approach problems? what do you do when you have a problem with a coworker?)
I applied for the Software Engineer II position in November 2024. This was a remote position. The first step of the interview process was a online assessment through CoderPad. There were three sections: backend questions, frontend questions, and a test plan. This was as far as I went.

Question 1
There was a very long leetcode-type question. It look a lot of time just to read through it, and I had to write a solution using C#.

DO NOT APPLY TO THIS COMPANY or COMPLETE THE ASSESSMENT. Waste of time. They send an easy tech assessment to you. It takes a little bit of time to complete. It ends up being a COMPLETE waste of time. Even if you get it perfectly right, they will likely still send you a rejection email. So you're just wasting your time. In general, companies that send tech assessments without first devoting time to meet with you are just sending that tech assessment to 100s of people. So they're wasting a lot of peoples time.
