I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at KFC (Twin Falls, ID) in Feb 2012
Interview
The hiring process was not awful. I had applied and didn't hear back for about a month, but after they called me it moved pretty quickly. I had two interviews. One with the assistant and one with the manager. They do two so they can make sure they like you. They were very friendly.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at KFC (Melbourne)
Interview
A sit down interview with several managers from other locations and the area manager. Interview was 30 mins long and they asked a variety of questions and different scenarios and had to explain how I would work through them.
My interview was great the training process was trash, I had a slight health concern & I had to take off. The training manager never contacted me about my return date after I called & left messages & emailed my doctor paperwork.
