I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Aberdeen, Scotland) in Apr 2017
Interview
Started with a 1 to 1 interview with a departmental manager which was very relaxed. She basically followed a script and asked around six questions and also the usual, 'tell me about yourself'.I had an opportunity to ask questions and some of the answers were quite surprising, retail has changed from when I last worked in it 36 years ago. I had to wait around for 1/2 hour before the group session started, it was a great opportunity to ask questions to a chatty manager. I sat with two other potential employees who I'd met in reception earlier, so we worked well together in the group work. We had to write a new employee handbook of good customer service.
