Interview
I recently underwent the interview process with JobTread, and regrettably, the experience fell short of professional standards. It's crucial to share my insights into the company's interview practices for the benefit of potential candidates. First Round: Encouraging Start Turns Sour My initial interaction with a C-level executive sparked optimism. They expressed a positive view of my background and efficiently scheduled a follow-up interview with upper management. Second Round: Educational Background as a Stumbling Block In the second round, the focus abruptly shifted to my educational background. Despite my assurances that I intended to leverage my master's degree for the company's benefit, the interviewers seemed fixated on the assumption that pursuing further education equates to an inevitable departure. Third Round: Redundancy and Unprofessionalism The third round, conducted as a panel presentation, took an unexpected turn. Despite being assured I could choose any topic, a panel member took issue with the exclusion of one specific feature. Moreover, upper management redundantly asked questions about my work ethics and commitment, indicating a lack of trust. Inappropriate Inquiry into Job Desperation: Adding to the discomfort, a C-level executive questioned how badly I wanted the job, a query I found inappropriate and degrading, especially for a third-round interview. Excessive Post-Interview Requests: Following the interviews, I was asked to provide 2-3 references and complete a personality assessment with over 400 questions. This seemed excessive, considering the extensive interview process already conducted. Lack of Transparency and Professionalism Despite promptly complying with their additional requests, I received a rejection without any feedback. Notably, none of my references were contacted, raising concerns about the transparency and professionalism of JobTread's hiring process. In conclusion, my experience with JobTread has left me with a sense of disrespect and a questioning of the professionalism in their interviewing approach.
