      Interview

Initial phone screen followed by in person interview. The in person portion was three rounds of different types of questions. Mostly typical interview questions and one more creative portion where you redesigned a webpage.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Jet (Hoboken, NJ) in May 2019

      Interview

A recruiter reached out to me on Linkedin and we set up a time to have an initial phone conversation. The recruiter didn't call at the agreed upon time, and instead called about an hour later saying that an emergency came up and someone was supposed to let me know earlier that the call would be pushed one hour later. This was red flag number one. After the phone call with the recruiter, I had to download an app and complete the games. The next day, I was asked for availability for an on-site interview. I sent over availability and a Talent Acquisition recruiter confirmed me for a day I said I wasn't available. When I pointed this out, another Talent Acquisition Coordinator scheduled me for another day that I was available. For my on-site interview, I was to meet with 3 Senior Managers. The first interviewer asked primarily behavioral based questions. A lot of the questions overlapped (tell me about a time when you had to think outside of the box was asked along with tell me about a time you had to think creatively to solve a problem). The interviewer seemed extremely disinterested, and at one point even rolled her eyes when I was discussing my past experience. The second interviewer was way more professional and engaging. For this portion of the interview, you were shown screenshots of the Jet.com and Walmart.com websites, and you had to talk about what you would change or improve. This was a simple attention-to-detail/ usability test and was actually quite enjoyable. An example I remember is that in the sidebar, there was an option to filter batteries by length in inches. You are supposed to point things like this out and make recommendations on how to improve the experience. After the second interview, I waited close to ten minutes for the next interviewer. The original person supposed to interview me apparently couldn't make it anymore so they sent in a replacement. He only asked one question which was the Marc Lore question about what you would say to him about your category. You're supposed to ask questions to get more information in order to formulate a response. Jet.com seems very disorganized and I had the worst interviewing experience I've ever had. It seems like they are doing mass hirings due to the high turnover for this position, and the senior managers are uninspired and unenthusiastic. I would definitely stay away.

      Interview

I found it to be positive and helpful. I learned a lot about the role and the culture. There were multiple rounds and I got to meet with several managers. I would recommend the role/interview process to my peers.

      Interview

Seamless but challenging. The questions are geared to make you think critically while the answers are not necessarily the end goal. The more research you do the better. Good people
