Application
I applied online. I interviewed at Jar (India) (Bengaluru) in Feb 2025
Interview
The interview process consisted of three rounds: an HR screening, a product discussion, and a leadership interview. The interviewers focused on product thinking, user behaviour and problem solving skills. I was asked about products, solved a case study on increasing Gen Z engagement for a savings app, and explained how I would prioritize features with limited engineering resources.
I had received an introductory call for a Product Discussion/HM round along with a cultural fit discussion to better understand my experience, skills, and alignment with the company’s work culture.

Question 1
There were many questions based on work experiences and projects. They also gave me a case study and asked questions based on analytics and product development.
There were supposed to be 3-4 rounds in the process. The first round was with the hiring manager. My experience:
- The interview was rescheduled multiple times at last moment. Because the interviewer was 'caught-up' or went on a holiday.
- The interviewer was very rude in the interview. Not allowing me time to think and was passing discouraging comments while I was thinking.
- For the case study too he had thought of his own solutions and wanted me to think in the same direction. When I tried to solve it from other perspective he stopped me and asked me solve in his way only.
- The interviewer left in a hurry without answering my questions.
I got rejected after the first round as expected.
