I was enthusiastic about the opportunity to join Jackmont Hospitality and made it through multiple rounds, including meetings with senior leadership. I received a written offer and confirmation from HR that I was the selected candidate.
However, the process quickly unraveled. Communication became inconsistent, and updates from HR contradicted what I had heard from leadership. Ultimately, the offer was rescinded after asking basic questions on compensation structure and benefits with no direct follow-up from the decision-makers I had built rapport with.
The lack of alignment across teams and poor transparency was disappointing, especially for a company aiming to revitalize a major brand. Candidates deserve clarity and respect—this experience fell short on both.
